Talking to Lanny Vogel about his amazing dive centre in Mexico called Underworld Tulum.

Over a brew Lanny tells me how after a life in the Royal Navy he and wife Claire sold everything to follow their dream to run a dive centre that teaches cave and cavern diving in the Mexican cenotes.

Grab yourself a brew and listen to this interesting chat.

🔴 More about my guest:
Lanny has been diving for over 20 years and teaching people to dive since 2003.  He qualified as a technical instructor in 2005 and has been fortunate to train with some of the world’s leading dive educators and explorers.  He holds instructor qualifications from IANTD, RAID, PADI, TDI, SDI, CMAS, BSAC and DAN, and has both technical and cave certifications from GUE. Previously a Commander in the Royal Navy, he retired in 2014 to prevent  work getting in the way of cave diving. With many years experience of diving the caves in Mexico in Backmount, Sidemount and Closed Circuit Rebreather, he can teach all cave courses up to multistage through IANTD, TDI and RAID. He is also a Tech DPV and SF2 CCR instructor.

✅ “Fancy a brew?” a Scuba Diving inspired chat over a brew about life, adventure, mental and physical resilience and determination to succeed in the sport we love.

✅ The podcast where I’ll be talking to those who influenced me as a diver, about their incredible experiences and how they found mental and physical resilience, whilst devoting their lives to Scuba Diving. These will (hopefully) be insightful and exciting discussions about people taking on scuba diving and its challenges, and how they came out the other side stronger through finding inspiration in connecting with nature’s underwater world.
