In this episode I'll be talking to wreck junkie Aron Arngrimsson from The Dirty Dozen Expeditions about Truk Lagoon, Bikini Atoll and beyond.

Over a brew we chat about how Aron developed the idea of The Dirty Dozen Expeditions, the exotic locations he goes to and how COVID-19 has effected him. He also talks about his educational trips to exclusion zone around Chernobyl.

Grab yourself a brew and listen to his interesting story.

🔴 More about my guest:
Aron started diving in 2005 in an attempt to break away from the rat race. Since then, his passion for technical diving has led him to some of the best diving locations in the world.

Aron has written for dive publications and training organizations, developed products with Fourth Element, Hollis, and Ocean Reef, and has regularly helped organizations develop training outlines. Aron has filmed documentaries and commercials along with hosting numerous TV and film productions including National Geographic’s One Strange Rock, Dive Odyssey, and worked with Monty Halls on Channel 5.

One of Aron’s personal highlights was a four-year project that started in 2011 and culminated with Team Blue Immersion discovering the wreck of the USCGC Alexander Hamilton at 95m/311ft, 20 miles off the coast of Reykjavik. The team conducted a deep exploration dive and then, after communicating with the US Coast Guard and the families of the fallen men, attached a memorial plaque on the ship. Aron is a active member of The Explorers Club.

Today, Aron runs the expedition company The Dirty Dozen Expeditions, where he does custom itineraries to dream locations like Truk Lagoon, Bikini Atoll, Galapagos, Chernobyl and beyond.

✅ “Fancy a brew?” a Scuba Diving inspired chat over a brew about life, adventure, mental and physical resilience and determination to succeed in the sport we love.

✅ The podcast where I’ll be talking to those who influenced me as a diver, about their incredible experiences and how they found mental and physical resilience, whilst devoting their lives to Scuba Diving. These will (hopefully) be insightful and exciting discussions about people taking on scuba diving and its challenges, and how they came out the other side stronger through finding inspiration in connecting with nature’s underwater world.
