In this the first BONUS EPISODE of the Fancy a brew? podcast, I’ll be talking to Scuba Sophie a youth ambassador for scuba diving and her instructor Kris from Canary Divers about how she did a charity event at our local quarry Capernwray on Friday 17th July 2020.

At only 11 years old Scuba Sophie is raising money for the NHS by building a Lego plane on the plane at Capernwray at her maximum depth of 12 meters. With multiple bags of specifically packed lego pieces, a 4kg weighted lego base and laminated instructions sophie built her plane on the wing of the plane at Capernwray under the careful eye of her friends and family with only 90 bar of her 15ltr cylinder used!

Grab yourself a brew and listen to her story.

✅ “Fancy a brew?” a Scuba Diving inspired chat over a brew about life, adventure, mental and physical resilience and determination to succeed in the sport we love.

✅ The podcast where I’ll be talking to those who influenced me as a diver, about their incredible experiences and how they found mental and physical resilience, whilst devoting their lives to Scuba Diving. These will (hopefully) be insightful and exciting discussions about people taking on scuba diving and its challenges, and how they came out the other side stronger through finding inspiration in connecting with nature’s underwater world.
